Melissa Fleury
Melissa Fleury is a career and leadership strategist helping corporate professionals land leadership roles with influence and significant pay. To date, Melissa has helped her clients recoup over $1,000,000 in lost salary earnings through promotions, salary negotiations, bonuses, and much more. She began her career in Corporate America working for one of the largest financial institutions in the world.
Melissa built a successful career in mortgage underwriting until the day that changed the trajectory of her career. She walked into work like any normal day and was unexpectedly laid off by lunchtime. At that point in her career, Melissa was burnt out, uninspired, and mentally checked out from her job. She used this period of unemployment to pivot into a career she was passionate about and help other professionals skip over the mistakes she made in her career.
Her unemployment inspired her first book, The Unemployment Guide: How a Setback Can Launch Your Career.
She wrote this book to help corporate professionals overcome major roadblocks they face in their careers. Through personal experience and work with her clients, she noticed that the fear of the unknown keeps many stuck in unhappy situations. She helps readers discover their leadership capabilities and articulate their value to attract opportunities aligned with their passions through her book.

In 2018, Melissa founded The Branded Career, a coaching and consulting company, focused on developing and retaining diverse millennial talent in the workplace. The Branded Career has helped clients secure on average 30% increases in salary, leadership roles, and strengthen soft skills to stand out in the workplace.

EDUCATION &EXPERIENCE
Melissa is also accomplished in the commercial real estate industry with nearly $1B in assets managed. She has a passion for all things real estate and leadership development. She received her B.A. in Economics from Stony Brook University and currently resides in Miami, FL.
